I focus on two uses of AI: developing creative material and making the work around production easier to manage. The starting point is the story, audience, and production goal.
Connect the tools
A useful workflow carries material between tools and formats, from concept and scripting through editing, versioning, and delivery. I focus on turning outputs into usable production assets and reducing friction in search, organization, and handoffs.
Make intentional choices
I consider what to capture, generate, or composite for each project. Prompting, iteration, and evaluation belong alongside traditional production craft, with decisions guided by the creative and technical needs of the work.
Keep judgment visible
People remain responsible for messaging, structure, and final review. I build in attention to authorship, rights, bias, disclosure, accessibility, and quality control, with documentation that makes the process clear and repeatable.

My approach draws on producing educational media and operating a studio at Columbia University, building Flywheel Film, teaching hands-on production at Montclair State University, and exploring AI-assisted editing through Kutr.ai. I connect the practical demands of making media with the judgment needed to decide what serves the work.
